Asbestos takes on water viewed from the coaling area at Brownhills West station
The Chasewater Railway operates over nearly 2 miles of track around Chasewater itself, a man made feeder reservoir for the Wyrley & Essington Canal.

Part of the railway follows the track of a colliery line operated by the Midland Railway: the area is surrounded by the sites of old collieries.
