Departments

To run a railway requires the expertise of many disciplines within the industry and at Chasewater Railway we encompass numerous departments that all work together to ensure the Railway operates in a safe and efficient manner.

Our volunteers draw on their experience from diverse backgrounds to provide the skills and knowledge necessary to take care of the various tasks and duties that have to be undertaken for the day-to-day running, maintenance and operation of Chasewater Railway.

In this section of the website we highlight the following departments:

  • Carriage & Wagon
  • Locomotives
  • Membership
  • Operations
  • Railway museum
  • Volunteering
  • Workshop

If you are interested in working with us and have skills that you feel would benefit the Railway, or are an enthusiast that would like to donate some time to helping us run the Railway, we would be glad to hear from you.  Please see the Volunteering page for details of how you can get involved!
