Chasewater Railway Education Programme

Chasewater Railway is delighted to invite enquiries for its 2010 Education Programme, which was relaunched in 2009 as part of the Railway's 50th Anniversary.

With its extensive resources, the Railway is able to offer an educational visit to virtually any group of young visitors, whether they are at Foundation Stage (Nursery, Reception or Pre-School Groups), or School Children up to Year 6, at Key Stages 1 & 2.

We can tailor your group's visit according to your wishes. Recent groups have used our resources for a wide range of Activity Days, including -

  • Transport
  • Animal Habitats
  • WWII Evacuation Days
  • Science
  • Social History
  • Geography
  • Citizenship

Whatever topic your group would like to arrange, we will ensure a challenging and exciting visit. This includes a train ride, which for many of our young visitors will be a "first time" experience, as will a visit to our superb Museum and Heritage Centre.

Our Education Programme is completely flexible. You decide what you want to do, and we'll do the rest.

If you would like further information, including costs, or would like to arrange a visit, then please contact our Education Officer, Pam Ecob:

by telephone: 07951 742929

or by email: education@chaserail.com

We look forward to seeing your group at the Chasewater Railway during 2009!
