Bicycles, Drones,Scooters, Skates & similar

We welcome everyone to Chasewater Railway and would like you all to enjoy the railway in a safe manner therefore please note the following few rules when visiting us.

  1. Please leave and lock up cycles in the rack on the car park (at your own risk) and most importantly please do not ride any type of cycle on the platforms or level crossings. We can accommodate cycles free of charge on the trains in the guards luggage area subject to space availability at the discretion of the guard.
  2. Please do not ride scooters, skate boards, skates and similar toys whilst at the railway however you are welcome to bring them along and storage is available at stations or in the guards compartment if required during your journey(at your own risk).
  3. No drones or similar remote operated equipment to be used within 50m of the railway without prior written permission this includes stations, running lines, heritage centre, sidings, platforms and car parks. (this is inline with recommendations given by the CAA (click here for more) . When you fly a drone in the UK it is your responsibility to be aware of the rules that are in place to keep everyone safe).

Thanks for helping us with this which is in order to maintain the safety of the railway, staff and its visitors and is in conjunction with our current conditions of travel. Copies available on request at Brownhills West and Chasewater Heaths stations.
