Norton Lakeside Halt
Norton Lakeside

Opened in 1995, Norton Lakeside served as the railways terminus until Chasewater Heaths was opened in 2003

Norton Lakeside Halt

Norton Lakeside was formerly the line's terminus but has been recently reclassified as a request stop due to the extension of the line to Chasewater Heaths and Chasetown (Church Street). It is an ideal location to break your journey with tranquil views of the lake and heathland. It is also adjacent to Chasewater's long distance footpaths and cycleway which lead onto the Beacon Way. The location is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and there is also a nearby Wildfowl Reserve. The summer months provide an ideal time to explore these surroundings.

It is a good starting point for bike rides around the SSSI and should you wish to transport your bicycle we are happy to carry them in the spacious guards compartment at no extra cost!
